For the Love of Friends
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

For the Love of Friends by Sara Goodman Confino is a funny and poignant view into the world of weddings and bridesmaids. I really enjoyed this love story with a focus on the expectations and requirements bridesmaids experience for the love of friends. Over the span of a few months, life takes Lily Weiss on an unexpected and chaotic adventure.

When Lily was asked to be a bridesmaid at her friend’s wedding, she never expected that was only the beginning of a long line of brides who’d ask too. All of a sudden, Lily was signed up to be a bridesmaid at five weddings! How could everyone except Lily be getting married at once? How could Lily survive being a bridesmaid at five weddings in the same summer? Those were the questions constantly running through Lily’s head.

Unfortunatley, it’s not long before Lily and her bank account are exhausted. Having nowhere to vent about the ridiculous expectations and demands from the brides and other bridesmaids, she decided to start a blog. Along the way, she also befriends one of the groomsman. Needless to say, by the end of summer her life would never be the same.

What I enjoyed most about this story, was the character development. There were a lot of characters involved, but each were unique and added depth and hilarity to the story. As funny as the story was, it also had a great message. Overall, this is a story about love, family, and friendships. I highly recommend the audiobook.

This is my first book by this author, and I can’t wait to read more from her. I’m now looking forward to reading She’s Up To No Good. The witty writing style and character development are what I’m expecting to continue to enjoy in her stories.

Available on Kindle Unlimited with Audible narration included.
