Wild (Book 2.5)

Forever Wild by K. A. Tucker
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Forever Wild by K. A. Tucker is a heartwarming romance story set in a small rural town in Alaska. This is Book 2.5 in the Wild series.

My Overview

At the end of Book 2, Calla and Jonah are living in the dilapidated cabin they purchased together in rural Alaska. They’re adjusting to living in the woods and the task of remodeling the cabin is overwhelming. Now, in Book 2.5, the cabin is completely remodeled and upgraded. Calla and Jonah have adjusted to living in the wild and its harsh conditions. As happy as they are, they still have some obstacles to overcome: hosting their parents for Christmas and fitting into the tight-knit community.

This Christmas, Calla’s and Jonah’s parents will be staying with them for two weeks. The cabin is spacious, but it soon starts to feel too tight for comfort. Not only must Calla and Jonah adjust to their parents’ quirks, but also their constant questions about setting a wedding date. As if the family drama isn’t enough, they must also deal with their meddling and ornery neighbors. This is not the Christmas joy they’d envisioned for this special time of the year. Fortunately, Calla and Jonah have a surprise that will brighten up the festivities and their forever wild.

Overall, this is a story about love, family, and friendship. I enjoyed getting to know Calla’s and Jonah’s parents and their backstories. My favorite was the growth the characters experienced, and their kindness towards each other. The setting, of course, is a big plus especially during winter ❄️.

My Recommendation

I enjoyed listening to the audiobook, and recommend it. This is Book 2.5 in the Wild series, but it reads fine as a standalone. If you’re looking for a heartwarming story set during Christmas time, with a good dose of family drama, give this one a try. I’m looking forward to reading Book 3, to complete this series.
