Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens is a funny, flirty, and heartwarming story that will likely make you want to listen to Phil Collins 🎶.
This was such a fun story! I really enjoyed all the characters and the setting. Laura is quirky, adventurous, and loves Phil Collins more than anyone I know. The supporting characters are genuine and charming, so they were all likable. The beautiful setting of Jersey in the Channel Islands is the perfect backdrop to this entertaining story.
Laura’s visiting Jersey while on a job assignment, and quickly becomes focused on finding the owner of the suitcase she mistakenly picked up at the airport. Not only does she assume he must’ve picked up her suitcase by mistake, but most importantly, she believes the suitcase owner is her soulmate. Based on the contents of the suitcase (yup, she went through his things! 🤫), she thinks all signs point to him being the one. She’s basically found her dream guy, they just haven’t met yet!
As if that’s not interesting enough, there are also other storylines that make the story heartfelt and entertaining. The people Laura meets in Jersey and what she learns about herself are what add much depth to the story. Overall, this is a fun story with a great message about family and life.
This is my second book by this author, and I look forward to new releases. I really enjoyed her previous book, This Time Next Year, and highly recommend them both.
Have you enjoyed any of this author’s books?

The Phil Collins stuff was great in this book. I gave it 4.5/5. I am trying to remember what kept me from 5/5. I know it was something, but nothing that major. It was such a fun book! I had a great time reading it. I recently read Before I Do, and it was another wonderful book by Cousens. Don’t be scared. I swear, it’s lovely
Lucy
I also thought the Phil Collins stuff worked really well in this fun story. I’m looking forward to Before I Do!
