One Night Only by Catherine Walsh is a fun and heartfelt rom-com. Perfect for the week of Valentineâs. From the characters, to the dual settings, to the humorous situations, I loved it all!
Sarah has development trust issues with respect to relationships. As a result, she has a one-night-only rule for relationships. When she woke up with Declan, the handsome guy from the Irish pub in NYC, she shows him the door and figures sheâs done with him. Imagine her surprise, when she shows up to her friendâs wedding in Ireland, and Declan is the groomâs brother! So much for a one night only relationship ⌠What follows is a heartfelt and adorable story about love, trust, and new beginnings.
I love stories set in NYC. I also love stories set in Ireland. This story takes place in NYC and Ireland, so I loved it even more! Keep in mind my rating might include and extra star simply for the dual settings. I enjoy Catherine Walshâs writing style, especially the way sheâs able to transport me to the settings of her stories. In this case, I enjoyed the characters and various locations in NYC. I also enjoyed the characters and various locations in Ireland.
Itâs hard to believe this is the authorâs debut novel. The character development, smooth storyline, and humor throughout are well done. Iâve now read all of Catherine Welshâs books, and canât wait for more! Interestingly enough, I read her books in backwards release order. I started with her latest (Holiday Romance), then read the one released prior (The Rebound), and now finally her debut novel.
Do you enjoy Catherine Walshâs books too?
